The European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC) supports researchers to better understand the seas and oceans. It aims to advance fundamental and applied marine biology and ecology research by facilitating access to marine organisms and ecosystems, experimental facilities, technological platforms, and relevant services in its 45 marine stations and research institutes in 9 member countries: Belgium, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom.
EMBRC-ES is the Spanish node of EMBRC, which is made up of three local operators: Toralla Marine Science Station (ECIMAT, CIM-UVigo) located at southern margin of Ría de Vigo; Plentzia Marine Station (PiE-UPV/EHU) placed in Southern Bay of Biscay and Spanish Bank of Algae (BEA-ULPGC), whose headquarters are in Telde. EMBRC-ES provides access to different ecosystems and offers a broad portfolio of services.
