Facilities for micro & macro-organisms

EMBRC-ES has facilities for the culture of different species of marine micro- and macro-organisms, from bioreactors to tanks for the maintenance of fish and marine invertebrates. Mesocosms, wet and dry laboratories, climate-controlled rooms or aquaria, are some of the facilities available for the maintenance of marine organisms. All our facilities are adequately equipped for the manipulation of the conditions of the natural environment (e.g pH, temperature, salinity and light) and with water purification.

Wet laboratories

Two wet laboratories of 67 m2 for experiments and research work that require running seawater. The laboratory is thermally conditioned with a supply of air, oxygen, freshwater, sand filtered seawater (~50µ) at ambient temperature, 20 µm filtered seawater lines (13 and 18ºC), and different tanks volumes with photoperiod control in some experimentation sets.
